Amasake Fruit Pudding

Ingredients
1 quart plain amasake
1 cup tangerines, skin and seeds removed and sliced
4 to 5 tsps kuzu, diluted in 8 Tbsps cool water
Steps
Place the amasake and tangerines in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, and reduce the flame to low.
Slowly add the kuzu, stirring constantly, until the pudding becomes thick. Simmer 2 to 3 minutes.
Place in individual dessert cups and serve hot or chilled.
NOTES:
Other local seasonal fruits such as apples, pears, nectarines, peaches, and berries can be substituted for tangerines.
