Ingredients
1 cup barley, washed and soaked overnight
1 1/2 - 2 cups water
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp gamashio
Steps
Place barley with soaking water and the salt in a pressure-cooker. Cover. Bring to pressure on high flame.
Reduce flame to medium-low, place a flame deflector under the cooker, and cook for 50 min.
Allow pressure to comedown, remove cover, and place barley in a wooden bowl.
Serve.
Garnish with gamashio.
