Boiled Whole Oat Porridge

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole oats, soaked 6 to 8 hours or overnight

  • 4 to 5 cups water (including water used to soak oats)

  • pinch of sea salt

Steps

  1. Place oats, water, and sea salt in a heavy pot, cover, and bring to a boil. Reduce the flame to medium-low and simmer for 2 to 3 hours until soft and creamy.

  2. Remove to a wooden bowl and serve in small bowls.
