Brown Rice, Baked

Ingredients

  • 2 cups long grain brown rice, washed and soaked in 3 cups of water overnight

  • 2 cups boiling water

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Put the rice with soaking water into a sauce pan, add the water and bring to a boil over a medium-high flame. 

  3. Turn off the flame.

  4. Pour the rice with boiling water into a baking or casserole dish. 

  5. Add the sea salt.

  6. Cover the baking dish with foil or a tight fitting lid. Place the covered dish in the oven and bake for 1 hour. 

  7. Remove from the oven. Remove the foil wrap and place in a serving dish.
