Glazed Carrots

Ingredients

  • 5 carrots, cut into large pieces

  • 1-1/2 cups water

  • 1 pinch of sea salt

  • 2 tbsps toasted sesame seeds

  • 1 Tbsp rice syrup

Steps

  1. Place carrots in a heavy pot; add water and salt. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. (Add more water if necessary.)

  2. Add rice syrup, stir and cook for a few more minutes. Remove from heat and mix with sesame seeds.

  3. Serve.
