Ingredients

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 inches kombu, soaked

  • 1 to 1-1/2 Tbsps shoyu or tamari soy sauce

  • 2 Tbsps bonito flakes

Steps

  1. Place the water, kombu, soy sauce, and bonito flakes in a saucepan and heat. Reduce flame to low and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.

  2. Remove from the flame and place in individual small bowls.
