Ingredients

  • 1 oz. dry wakame

  • 1/4  cup sesame seeds

Steps

  1. Roast wakame in 350 degree oven until crisp and dark. Remove and grind to a fine powder in a suribachi. 

  2. Place washed sesame seeds in a dry skillet and roast on a low flame until they release a nutty fragrance. Stir constantly so roasting will be even. 

  3. Add sesame seeds to wakame powder and grind until seeds are about 50 percent crushed.
