A small amount of fish or seafood may be eaten a few times per week by those in good health. White-meat fish generally contain less fat than red-meat or blue-skin varieties. Salt-water fish usually contains fewer pollutants than fresh-water types. To help detoxify the body from the effects of fish and seafood, a small volume of grated daikon, horseradish, ginger, or mustard consumed at the meal as a condiment.
